Today, we often use social media so it’s an important thing for life.While we are using social media,we leave behind some footprints.These are called “Digital Footprints". It consists lots of websites we entered, things we share on Facebook, Instagram,Twitter etc. Also,its already important for our future. Because 70% of bosses now find their candidates on social media. Among 40% and 54% of bosses are refusing their candidates because of their social media accounts.

Well,why are digital footprints very important? Because now our social media accounts are our identity ,actually.If you delete all the data, its not deleted completely.Lots of digital habitats are not deleting your data completely.In the past, if a mistake was made, it would eventually be forgetten. But these days, this is not possible. Mistakes we make online are not eaisly forgetten.Like we said;deleting something online is not very possible.But if you want to delete your own data, in Türkiye you use 

KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and you delete own data.But this is a legal process and does not  delete all types of information.If EU,this is “GDPR” (General Data Protection Regulation),the most comprehensive and strict law. To individuals, this law is very safe and accessible.In conclusion, the internet is not a safe thing and the footprints we leave behind have to influence our future.
